Live Streaming in Montreal, Canada

These past couple weeks have been extremely busy for our mobile production unit, and we had the exciting opportunity to work with Truth in IT in Montreal, Canada. Traveling internationally is nothing new for our company, as we have gone to many countries including France, Germany, and Nicaragua. While going across the globe, the language barrier isn't a problem as our Producer, Ben, speaks French, and Production Coordinator, Andrea, is fluent in Spanish. All of the signs and menus in Montreal were in french, and we made sure to try some of the local flavors like poutine. Poutine is a Canadian dish that consists of french fries, gravy, and cheese curds--YUM!

With Truth in IT, our production team live streamed an event where sponsors give presentations about new products and trends in the technology industry. In addition to the live broadcast on the web, there were many attendees who came to the event from all over the city. We used our new Tricaster live streaming set up, which allows us to do several new functions.

No longer are we limited customizing our settings each time we operate the system, as with our old Black Magic switcher. With the Tricaster, the user can save settings for each streaming project. This means we can set up virtual inputs with custom picture-in-picture capabilities, as well as import and create lower thirds, title cards, and other graphics necessary for a successful stream.

We had over 200 viewers on the stream, with no interruptions or problems. Traveling anywhere as a production team can be a challenge, but we have a elaborate system for keeping things organized and running. If you would like to live stream your next event, please contact us at 480.240.9270.
