Networking Field Day 4

Once again, we found ourselves in San Jose for Tech Field Day, an event that connects bloggers to IT product vendors. We've done many of these events in the past, and thoroughly enjoy visiting innovative technology companies. People come from all over the world for these events, and many more watch it via our live stream, which gives us the opportunity to have our work seen everywhere.

Not only do we live stream these events, but we create an introduction video and a wrap up video. To achieve a certain aesthetic that differs from the live stream, we shoot on the Canon 5D.  With regard to this, the videos shot for this event can be seen here, and include an entertaining rap by one of the delegates. When shooting these mini interviews with our Canon, this set up is quite simple. Using LED lights allows for less wires and less heat along with an ease of mobility.

Networking Field Day 4 included visiting several interesting and creative companies: Statseeker, Opengear, Spirent, Brocade, Cisco, and Juniper. To ensure excellent coverage at these presentations, we brought our switcher box, perfect for live streaming this event.

Like all Tech Field Days, there are many set ups and tear downs. With our mobile studio, we are able to keep everything well organized to increase our maneuverability and timing in between sessions. At the same time, using our robotic cameras aids in getting the best shots and add production value to our live stream.

In addition to the high tech products we use, social media is one of the most powerful tools when we are streaming. Using Twitter, we update our followers regarding the stream, and we are able to monitor the event's hashtag to actively overcome the concerns of those encountering a problem on the stream. In addition, we also use Twitter to stay connected to the industry and generate discussion on a variety of production topics. To continue the conversation and stay connected, follow us @PrimeImageVideo.

In short, when we work live streaming events, we are able to record and edit in an efficient timely manner. If you or your company has town hall meetings, sales kick offs, or any other event you'd like streamed, we'd love to talk with you.
