Gorgeous Video at any Venue

This past week we had the incredible opportunity to work with Arena Performance Swimwear at the Grand Prix Series for Swim USA.  Many athletes who participated in the event were Olympic gold medalists and world record holders. The event took place in Mesa, Arizona and spanned a couple of days with trials and races. Our production team arrived on the final day ready to shoot activities led by two Olympians, Janet Evans and Aaron Peirsol, who spoke to children and parents about the sport.

 

Our production team captured a B-Roll of the event using our Sony EX-1, and a GoPro for underwater footage. The results were amazing, and we also captured other Olympians including Missy Franklin and Ryan Lochte. 

 

Janet Evans and Aaron Peirsol hosted events and inspired children to set goals in order to keep up with their sport. We also shot interviews that discussed the event and previewed the next competitions in other cities. For these events, kids race in a relay while Janet and Aaron compete against each other. Once they finish, the meet continues with other races featuring athletes from around the world. It was truly amazing to meet such humble people with a passion for swimming, and a pleasure to work with Arena.

 

Continuing our work with Unelko Cleaning Products on one of our biggest projects, we spent a day of production shooting two different videos. Previously, we captured shots of their offices with the crane and used smooth motion shots. As we progress this aesthetic for continuity, we used our crane for these additional spots.

For the spot showcasing kitchen and bath products, we moved the crane inside and captured stunning motion shots with our Canon 5D. In addition to showing the product in action, we also shot the effects of the solutions with colored water. This made it easy to see how the water would bead up and repel with the use of the product. These products were demonstrated by our talent, Shannon Wallace and Ken Elkind, whom we always enjoy working with.

To offer the complete package of photo and video, we captured beauty shots of all the products. These could be used in the videos or for future marketing campaigns. The results were fantastic and we couldn't have asked for better weather conditions. This is only the first few commercials in a line of ten spots we will be doing for Unelko.

Shooting Product Video

Over the past couple weeks, we remained busy editing projects and finalizing others. As an experienced production company, we are always excited to work with new clients and explore new industries for corporate video. Working with Nuggco, we shot a video which showcased their indoor plant watering system.

 

Our Sales Director, Jerry, stopped by and helped set up the camera while our Production Director, Scott, and Production Coordinator, Andrea, worked on establishing the set. For this shoot, we used a large white paper backdrop, which we curved, and our Rifa soft box lights. After setting up, we began shooting the different steps of installing the system and highlighting its functionality.

We also illustrated how traditional watering methods resulted in multiple refill trips and had no flow control. To ensure that we captured the best video, we utilized our slider, which shoots video with steady motion. Using a variation of shots adds production value to the final outcome for the client.

 

For the last shot, we set up nine of the systems in order to take photos and video for promotional use. Multiple systems mounted together provided an impressive backdrop to showcase the product. However, it was challenging to time the video with all of the systems firing at once. There was a lot of water flowing but, luckily, we managed to stay dry.
