Busy Production Whirlwind

Since late August, PrimeImage Media has been consistently busy with nonstop production. We stayed in Las Vegas for two whole weeks, traveled to San Jose many times, went to other locations for House shoots, as well as worked with our local clients. We are thriving--getting new equipment and utilizing it on a multitude of projects.

The Las Vegas trip began with a hi-tech conference for one week, and then the ERA infomercial conference the following week. The second conference was so big, we flew in additional talent to emcee and help us live switch.
Craig Burnett, a multi-talented on camera host and Lisa Acquafredda, also an on camera host, were both a huge part of our production team.

The Vegas trip was by far one of the most intense jobs we've done. It required the whole crew for two full weeks of conference coverage, interviews, and live streaming with our high tech switching system.  This system has proved to be an excellent add on to our event coverage, so much so that we have gotten a second streaming system. Originally, we only wanted the second system as back up. However, after a week of setting up the secondary unit, we booked two jobs that require both systems.

Long days of carrying hundreds of pounds of gear, late nights shooting events and parties, taking photos and filming interviews-- we made it through the busy two weeks, working for both
Qualys and ERA D2C.

After Las Vegas, we weren't back in town for long. Our whole team traveled to San Jose for two separate jobs: One, a live streamed Sales Kick Off for Aruba Networks, and the other a series of training videos for Aerohive. We did the Sales Kick Off for Aruba last year, and it's definitely interesting to see just how far we've come with live streaming since then.

The remainder of October, while mostly spent at our headquarters in Phoenix, continued with a variety of local jobs. We shot a conference for the International Association for Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation
(IAFNR), which was filled with thought provoking information and was a pleasure to film. As we expand our conference coverage abilities, our goal is to increase the number of local conferences we do.

With the housing market coming back, we averaged two house shoots a week. Our new all inclusive package for multi-million dollar properties has become a big hit for many of our realtor clients.

These house shoots feature what was normally included, incredible HD video with an on camera host, but also features jib and slider work inside, the use of our full sized jib outside, and aerial video. Take a look at one of our recent horse properties we did using this stellar package deal.

Finally, we entered November editing demonstrations for Aruba Networks which we shot in October. Phew! It's been a very successful couple of months and it doesn't stop there. These next couple of weeks our mobile production unit will be traveling back to San Jose (twice!) and to Las Vegas once again. We also have a couple local jobs to round out the month. While sometimes stressful, this busyness is a good problem to have, and as we start booking jobs in 2014, we are excited for new projects and expanding what we do.

Wireless Field Day 5

Can you believe it's August? Not only that, but it's the middle of August? The summer has flown by as we have been hard at work on a variety of interesting projects. From new clients like Matrix Medical, to recurring ones like Tech Field Day, we've been busy shooting, editing, and streaming.

We are no strangers to Tech Field Day, a high-tech event that brings bloggers and companies together for interactive discussions. In fact, serving as the live streaming video team, we have become a very prominent part of the event. Many of the presentations are fueled by questions from people watching the live stream. Also, the presentations accumulate more views after the event when the recorded content is posted online. In this instance, Tech Field Day has become special to us, and is an avenue where our abilities to think quickly and problem solve are tested.

For Wireless Field Day 5, we traveled to San Jose and we were prepared for a week worth of set ups and tear downs, while testing out another iteration of our audio system. At the last Tech Field Day, we utilized a new audio system that became a challenge to oversee all twelve inputs at once. While enabling each delegate with a microphone was a great improvement, we still had trouble managing the audio.

With our new mixer, each delegate still gets their own microphone, yet the audio will only be broadcasted when they speak. This eliminates trying to find idle munching or swallowing noises and turns up any of the delegates when they speak with no delay. Overall, it was an incredible improvement and we're excited to use it again next month at Networking Field Day 6.

We always treasure our time at each of the Tech Field Days, and we've formed great relationships with the presenters, staff, and delegates. It's a way for us to continue to be challenged in new and exciting ways, while growing in our video abilities. If you would like to request our services, please call us at 480.240.9270

Keeping busy on local projects

While our team travels often, we also have a variety of local clients in Phoenix that keep us busy on new and exciting projects. This past week, we spent time in the studio shooting demonstrations of cleaning products with Unelko. These demos are all apart of a larger project consisting of ten videos, which we've worked on before. For this studio production, we set up our lights and white backdrop to create a clean space for filming.

For the majority of the demos we used mirrored surfaces, which had parts that were treated and untreated. These mirrored surfaces proved a challenge in order to manipulate our camera in such a way where we couldn't see its reflection. We also had to use a white scrim as to not reflect the ceiling. For additional demos, we used other surfaces like ceramic tile and travertine, to further showcase each of the cleaning products. Filming these demonstrations added to our library of footage for this project, and we look forward to future shoots illustrating other products.

Later in the week, we had the opportunity to work with one of our newer clients, Matrix Medical. For this shoot we set up two cameras, one stationary and one on a slider to add movement between the shots. We've done a similar set up before, and we were thrilled with the outcome as it provided a creative and professional look.

For these interviews, we utilized our Rifa soft box lights to properly light each of the three interviews. It was an awesome opportunity to work with the Matrix Medical team, and we are excited to work with them again later this week for additional interviews.

Our clients love that we have two mobile production units to meet their production needs, however, we also have a great foundation in Phoenix. By offering our services locally and around the world, we are able to give our clients high quality video where they need it. If you have are interested in compelling corporate video, please call us at 480.240.9270.

Shooting in Toronto, Canada for Asigra's Partner Summit

This year we've already made our way to Canada when we worked with TruthinIT. For Asigra's Partner Summit Conference in Toronto, we returned to Canada to shoot this high-tech event. Asigra specializes in cloud enabled backup and recovery for a variety of companies around the globe. We've met Asigra before at Tech Field Day events, however, this was our first event working with them directly.

We began the week shooting a full day of client testimonials before the conference opened. Using our mobile studio set up, we brought our Rifa soft box lights, Canon 5D, and Sennheiser wireless microphones. Events and conferences are great venues to do client testimonials since the clients are already there, and it's easy to do many testimonials at one location.

Here at PrimeImage Media, we are primarily a video production company. However, many of our clients have the need for both photo and video. In addition to our video coverage of the event, we also took hundreds of event photos showcasing education seminars and presentations. These photos were handed off to the marketing team twice a day so they could update their social media networks immediately with conference coverage. Feel free to take a look at our photos of the event here.

Toronto was an absolutely stunning venue, with a brilliant skyline and plenty of sights to see. This conference had a lot of hands-on demonstrations, but also emphasized the need for social networking through fun events--the best was a boat cruise on Lake Ontario.

The Asigra Partner Summit really demonstrated our talents not only as videographers, but also as photographers. We loved working with the Asigra team, and look forward to working with them in the future. If you would like video coverage of your next event, please call us at 480.240.9270.

Diverse projects around the country

Welcome to the land of barbecue, pecan pie, Tex-Mex, and wide open blue skies. For Tech Field Day 9, our mobile production unit traveled to Austin, Texas to live stream and record high tech presentations with a variety of companies. Not only did we have bloggers from around the world participate in the event, but the live stream generated in-depth discussions between companies and their customers.

Our Tricaster system worked perfectly with no problems, and many of the people on the live stream noticed the new aesthetic. We had created some cool picture-in-picture effects beforehand, and we were pleased with the results. The delegates are acclimating to our new audio system and getting used to having a microphone on them at all times. We always make sure to label each of the inputs on our mixer, to easily monitor the audio.

Tech Field Day 9 was a success, and we are excited for the next event in August. As our mobile unit is always busy traveling, once again they went to San Jose to work with Aerohive for a product launch video and a whiteboard video. For the first project, we interviewed the designer of the new device as well as a several members of Aerohive's talented staff.

Lunar was an interesting venue to shoot and provided a certain style to the launch video. It was a full day of filming interviews and B-roll of the new product, and we were pleased with what we shot. The next day, we went to Aerohive's headquarters and worked on a whiteboard video, like we had done in the past. We spent some time going over the script, planning out drawings, and adjusted our lighting to enhance the shoot.

Shooting for diverse companies is always exciting for our production teams. We tailor each video to our clients needs wherever and whenever possible. These past couple months have involved a great deal of travel for our mobile production units, and it looks like there are no signs of stopping as there are more projects on the horizon. If you are interested in our video services, call us at 480.240.9270.

New Clients and Fun Projects

Lithium is a new client of ours located in the heart of the Financial District in Downtown San Francisco--Wow! What a location! Not only was the city a great venue, but the new office had an abundance of bright colors and hip decor. We were thrilled to work with such a fun company, and began work on three different videos.

Our mobile production team spent most of the day using our Canon 5D to capture interviews with many employees, and the CEO of the company. One of the videos needed to illustrate the culture, so we shot a lot of B-roll of cool elements such as the whiteboard walls, arcade named conference rooms, and open flow offices.

After a nice cool trip in San Francisco, we returned back to Phoenix and to 100 degree weather. Our production team prepared for an outdoor shoot with Auto Action, a car dealership near downtown. For this project, we were filming five different commercial spots that will later air on TV. To get the best shots of the place, we brought our crane that added to the overall aesthetic.

To emphasize the friendly atmosphere, we utilized our Glidecam in order to capture interactions with customers on the lot. This was a great way to get closer shots while maintaining smooth movement. Auto Action helped us manage our time effectively by having all the cars and customers ready, and we finished the day with more than enough footage. It was a great shoot and we're excited to start editing these spots.

We are always doing different projects, and are a group of professionals that boasts in complete versatility. From interviews to commercials, and traveling to live streaming, we love doing video any way we can. If you are interested in video for your business, please contacts us at 480.240.9270.
