Aerohive at ISTE 2012

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference showcases new developments for teachers, administrators, media specialists, teacher educators, policy makers, and technology coordinators from all over the world. This year, the conference took place in San Diego, California. One company found at the conference this year was Aerohive networks.

Aerohive specializes in creating Wifi networks for schools, businesses, hospitals, and more. They sell access points, routers, and software management of these items. At the conference, we worked with them to shoot a variety of testimonial videos with many of their customers at the conference.

We were sent their products before the conference. Getting creative, we shot some Broll of the products using our dolly and a number of different set ups.

 

Aerohive had a nice large booth with a talented team ready to talk to anyone and everyone. We also talked with another booth associated with Aerohive called JAMF Software.

For this trip, we brought along our Sony EX1 for two demonstrations of how the product works, and a Canon 5D for portraits of Aerohive customers.

Taking advantage of the scenic views and exhibition space, we used the Glidecam to produce powerful footage with movement.

Shooting with Dr. Aldo Guerra again

This week, we had the opportunity to shoot for Dr. Aldo Guerra who specializes in plastic surgery in Scottsdale, AZ. In the past, we've done several testimonial videos for his plastic surgery center. Dr. Aldo was so pleased with our previous work that he wanted additional testimonies.  For our current shoot we had two delightful women to showcase.

                          

We had three main set ups. This first, was an consultation room. We used two LED lights and a Canon 5D in order to get the best capture possible. Wireless microphones were also needed to capture audio. Above are Scott and Ben from our production team ready to interview one of the patients. 

Next, our team moved to capture additional Broll between the patient and Dr. Aldo. Carefully we rotated around the two using our dolly, creating a interesting shot.

For our final location, we did a walk through in the hallway to continue to showcase the relationship between Dr. Aldo and his patients. After this we did a couple other shots of the patient interacting with the staff. 

We also had the opportunity to shoot with one other woman for a testimonial video that will be entirely in Spanish. This will further reach out to and extended audience for Dr. Aldo. Estamos emocionados por nuestro primer video en español!

Our team will return to shoot with these same patients in the next couple months to complement what we shot this week. This will be showcased in two before and after videos.
